Proper hydration is critical for our health as we are compromised of 80 % of water and not just hydration of water but also hydration of oils. your body will tell you how much water do you need. Listen to your body and drink according to your thirst. If you are peeing a lot, then you are drinking too much water. If your mouth is dry and you have little saliva, you need to drink more water. Quality of water is important as well. Spring water is the most healthiest and cleanest water to consume.
Hydration is not just water, it’s oils as well which is sort of connected to diet. People can be water dehydrated and you can also be oil dehydrated. My teacher had a client who was a strict vegan and she cut all out all fats and oils from her diet; She ended up becoming very sick. It affected her nervous system, her joints and her digestion. Internally and systematically, she was severely dry. The best oils come from, avocados, coconuts for example, anything you can easily press an oil out of, is safe to consume. Fried, chemically processed oils should be avoided.
Consuming drying substances everyday like coffee when you are constitutionally dry is another risk factor. A myelin sheath is a sleeve (sheath) that’s wrapped around each nerve cell (neurons). It’s a protective layer of fat (lipids) and protein that coats the main “body” section of a neuron called the axon and what you consume can affect how smoothly electrical impulses travel from one nerve cel to the next.
Emotional balance is a result of keeping your water and hydration levels balanced.

What we drink is just as important as what we eat. In holistic health, hydration isn’t just about drinking enough water—it’s about consuming the right kinds of fluids to maintain optimal digestion, detoxification, and cellular function. The body is made up of about 60% water, and every system depends on proper hydration to function efficiently. However, not all beverages are created equal, and some can either nourish or deplete the body’s energy and balance.
🌿 The Role of Proper Hydration
💧 Supports Digestion & Nutrient Absorption – Hydration keeps the digestive system functioning smoothly, preventing constipation, bloating, and sluggish digestion. Proper hydration also helps break down food, allowing nutrients to be better absorbed.
💧 Aids Detoxification & Lymphatic Flow – Water flushes out toxins through the kidneys, liver, and lymphatic system. Herbal teas, lemon water, and mineral-rich broths further support detox pathways.
💧 Balances Body Temperature & Circulation – Hydration regulates body temperature, preventing overheating, and supports circulation, ensuring oxygen and nutrients reach every cell.
💧 Maintains Cellular Energy & Function – Every cell relies on water to generate energy and perform essential functions. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, headaches, and brain fog.
💧 Prevents Mucus Buildup & Respiratory Issues – Proper hydration helps thin mucus in the lungs and sinuses, making it easier to expel. Herbal teas, warm broths, and steam inhalation can further aid expectoration.

Not all liquids are equally beneficial—some drinks hydrate and heal, while others dehydrate and disrupt balance.
🚫 Sugary Drinks (Sodas, Artificial Juices, Sweetened Iced Teas) – High in refined sugars that cause energy crashes, inflammation, and digestive imbalances.
🚫 Excessive Caffeine (Coffee, Energy Drinks, Strong Black Tea) – Overstimulation from caffeine can cause dehydration, adrenal fatigue, and digestive distress if consumed in excess. If drinking coffee, balance it with hydration and avoid drinking on an empty stomach.
🚫 Alcohol – Causes dehydration, depletes essential nutrients (like B vitamins and magnesium), and can strain liver function over time.
🚫 Milk & Dairy-Based Beverages (For Some Individuals) – Can contribute to mucus buildup, sluggish digestion, and inflammation in those sensitive to dairy.
🚫 Artificially Flavored & Processed Beverages – Contain chemicals, preservatives, and artificial sweeteners that may disrupt gut health and hormone balance.

🍋 Start Your Day with Warm Lemon Water – Stimulates digestion, detoxification, and hydration after sleep.
🌊 Explore the Hydration Needs for your body type in the (Temperaments Section) –
Catabolic Type(Dry & Cold) – Needs warm, moistening drinks like herbal teas, golden milk, and broths.
Metabolic type (Hot & Fiery) – Benefits from cooling drinks like coconut water, cucumber-infused water, and aloe vera juice.
Anabolic type (Heavy & Damp) – Requires warming, stimulating drinks like ginger tea, black tea, and spiced infusions to prevent stagnation.
🔹 Avoid Drinking Too Much with Meals – Traditional holistic medicine suggests drinking small sips during meals but not excessive amounts, as too much liquid can dilute digestive enzymes and weaken thedigestive fire.
🌿 Use Herbal Infusions for Targeted Healing – For example, mullein tea for respiratory health, nettle tea for mineral replenishment, and ginger tea for digestion and circulation.
